Marion Open Women's currently participate in Division 5 of the SA Women's Adelaide Football League. The season normally consists of 14 rounds followed by a final series.
Games will generally be played on a Saturday in 2020, although there may be some Friday night games. The time of games will vary and coaches will advise players of what time to arrive at the ground prior to game start time.
All Senior Women are required to have their own Marion shorts and socks (green) for playing. Players will be recommended to purchase their own team guernsey for sizing purposes however some team guernseys will be supplied and will need to be returned to the club after every game.
If a player wishes to wear 'skins' under their shorts, the SAWFL requires that they only be beige in colour. Other coloured skins are not allowed and the club may be subject to fines if players do not comply. No jewellery is to be worn during games and nails must be cut.
Volunteers are required to assist with interchange, time keeping, running water and scoreboard. Coordination of these roles are managed by Team Managers. Help is also required on the BBQ and canteen on home game days. If you can assist in anyway, please contact the club.
All registered and financial players are covered by the AFL Insurance Scheme which assists in covering major non-Medicare costs which may arise as a result of injury.
The cost of an ambulance is not covered by this insurance and players are advised to have private ambulance cover.
