KEY INFORMATION FOR Juniors

Competition

Marion Juniors participate in the SANFL Juniors Football League. The club is bound by the rules and regulations of the SANFL.

The season normally consists of 15 rounds. Teams from U12 upwards, play for premiership points and a series of finals games follow at the completion of the round games.


Teams in U7 through to U10 play in a modified game of either 9 or 12 a side, with U11 upwards playing 18 a side.

Uniform

Junior players are required to have their own Marion shorts and socks (green) for playing (purchase through Sportspower Store, Marion). Players guernsey will be supplied and will need to be returned to the club after every game.


No jewellery can be worn during games and nails must be cut.

Volunteers

Volunteers are required to assist with interchange, time keeping, running water and scoreboard. Coordination of these roles are managed by Team Managers. Help is also required on the BBQ and canteen on home game days. If you can assist in anyway, please contact the club.

Enjoy a family friendly environment with fantastic facilities, new outdoor entertainment area, Bistro and bar open upstairs at Club Marion.


This is a great way for them to learn the basic skills of the game in a fun and safe environment.

All registered and financial players are covered by the AFL Insurance Scheme which assists in covering major non-Medicare costs which may arise as a result of injury.


The cost of an ambulance is not covered by this insurance and players are advised to have private ambulance cover.

The Sports Voucher program is a Govt of South Australia initiative administered by the Office for Recreation, Sport and Racing. The program provides an opportunity for all primary school aged children to receive up to a $100 discount on sports registration fees. It is one voucher per child per calendar year.

To claim the voucher please make sure you include your medicare details in your registration. 


Sibling discounts will be provided to families who register more than one child per family. The discount for 2024 is 15% per additional child.
